StartWrite Consultants: Mark Gale
Mark
Gale is the managing director and founder of Startwrite Consultants. The
company was formed in 1983 with the objective to deliver a broader and cohesive
one-stop-shop telecom service. Mark was inspirational in creating the close
knit group of Startwrite Consultants now based throughout the UK. Mark's recent
assignments include product design and sales strategy for a UK broadband
provider, planning and installation of a government voice recognition system
and mobile communications remote worker strategy design and implementation.
Prior to forming Startwrite, Mark has worked for American Express, Dell,
The National Archive and other government institutions. Throughout his career
Mark has focused primarily on telecoms and more recently VOIP solutions.
StartWrite Consultant: Robert
Isherwood-Crook
Robert
Isherwood-Crook has worked within the ITC marketplace since the late 70’s
initially concentrating on the emerging PC market and then moving into the
IBM and Amdahl 3rd party maintenance across Europe with Circle. In 1985 Robert
moved in to what was to become Ascom eventually running the call logging
business in the UK. He spent 9 years running his own software company specialising
in contact centre management systems and electronic phone directories for
major corporate. Since then he has worked in several disciplines within
voice communications, and is currently looking at the implications of call
recording and fixed to mobile convergence.
StartWrite Consultant: Andy Carter
Andrew
Carter has more than 20 years experience in the design, implementation and
support of network infrastructures in a variety of organisations such as
British Telecom, Thorn EMI, Marks & Spencer, and International Computers
Ltd. Recently, Andrew has been working with a leading supplier of anti-malware
solutions within email environments, and has been instrumental in assisting
with design and deployment of their product offerings. Andrew has a detailed
knowledge of email and its associated protocols. He has been instrumental
in transforming these anti-malware solutions into world beaters in the fight
against unsolicited bulk email. Andrew's earlier career was focused on managing
client support and acting as the interface between IT professionals and the
end user community. So whilst remaining highly technical in terms of managing
the network infrastructure, he has the ability to communicate easily at all
levels.
StartWrite Consultant: Catherine Hawkes
Catherine
Hawkes has worked in telecommunications since 1999. Her specialty is bill
analysis and she has a keen eye for spotting anomalies. Catherine has worked
in a variety of telecoms companies from small to large, the changes taking
place always because of company takeovers. Because of her excellent Account
Management skills and genuine interest in her clients' best interests, they
have remained loyal throughout every change. Catherine has a background
in working with people at all levels in organisations. She has excellent
presentation and communications skills and demonstrates a highly analytical
approach to problem solving and a determination to find the right solution
for each individual requirement.
StartWrite Consultant: Roger
Shakeshaft
Roger
Shakeshaft has 20 years experience of delivering complex and demanding
IT implementations and business change programmes for both public and
private sector clients. Starting as a programmer, Roger progressed through
IT project and service management to become an ITIL (Information Technology
Infrastructure Library) qualified professional and an advisor to the
European Commission on ICT (Information and Communication Technologies)
management best practice.
For the last 20 years, Roger has focussed on helping clients to reduce
risk and maximise business benefit from their IT and telecoms investments
through the application of proven programme management and business process
re-engineering methodologies. Roger has planned and managed programmes
for: office refurbishments and removals, dealer floor and data centre
re-locations, organisation and business process restructures, software
developments and technology upgrades, and telecoms systems and network
projects. Roger’s clients include both large and small organisations
in the Transport, Services, Financial, Petrochemical and Manufacturing
sectors.
StartWrite Consultants:Millicent Grant
Millicent Grant, the director of Novavista Limited, and lead provider of the company’s
services, has over 12 years experience in local government following a number of years
working in the private sector. She has management experience in the public sector as well
as over 10 years parallel experience as a trustee and management team member in the
voluntary sector. Following a career as a commercial lawyer, she worked for over 8 years
with an inner London borough as an employment lawyer, advising on Corporate HR policies
and conducting complex Employment Tribunal cases covering all aspects of employment
law. She has conducted and trained staff to conduct Equality Impact Assessments in
accordance with the Equality Standard for Local Government.
